WADE CHOSEN AS A RECIPIENT OF APP FUNDING FROM US DEPARTMENT OF STATE

Beijing, China: WADE is pleased to annou-nce that it was recently awarded a substa-ntial grant from the US Department of State under the Asia Pacific Partnership (http://www.asiapacificpartnership.org) to research the potential for CHP in China, through use of the WADE Economic Model, and advance

the market with a series of workshops throughout China and the United States.   In conjunction with the APP Project, members of the WADE China Group will establish and implement an aggressive work plan that will complement the APP Project and accelerate deployment of clean decentralized energy technologies.   The Asia-Pacific Partnership (APP) on Clean Development and Climate is an innovative effort to accelerate the development and deployment of clean energy technologies formed by six Asia-Pacific countries including Australia, Canada, China, India, Japan, Republic of Korea, and the United States. The six APP partners have agreed to work together with private sector partners to meet goals for energy security, national air pollution reduction, and climate change in ways that promote sustainable economic growth and poverty reduction.
